HELLO, WE’RE INDIE STANDPOINT

Good software doesn’t
always make a big noise.

We’re here to give it a little more attention.

A publication for the independently curious.

Indie Standpoint covers useful apps and tools from solo developers, small independent teams, and open-source communities. We’re interested in what a product helps someone do, and in the people and choices behind it.

Our opening collection includes research spotlights and practical guides. We are building a publication worth returning to, one useful story at a time.

Clear about what we know.

Research spotlights are based on linked official product information. They are not hands-on reviews. When we publish hands-on coverage, it should explain what we tried, on which device, and what happened. We do not invent testing, scores, testimonials, or interviews.

Illustrations are editorial artwork and are not presented as product screenshots. Publication dates and sources appear on our app stories. We distinguish active projects from maintenance updates and identify limitations that are relevant to the reader.

We make apps, too.

Indie Standpoint is published by Redmont Digital. The publisher owns Part Identifier Plus, Halo, and Nugget. Their stories carry a “From our studio” label and an ownership disclosure. They do not receive independent review scores.

Ownership is not a reason to hide another developer’s useful product. Our coverage can include competing tools. Paid placements or affiliate relationships, if introduced, must be disclosed where readers encounter them. The launch collection contains no paid placements or affiliate links.
